Australia has the highest average solar radiation per square meter of any continent in the world..
This could help explain why the government has expressed a preference for solar over wind energy, many analysts suggest that large scale solar could be responsible for a majority of Australia’s reduced renewable energy target.
Even though the deployment of megawatt-scale solar electricity systems is still in it’s early stage of development here in Australia, the large scale solar commercial projects that have been launched for schools, shopping centres and government properties will often be put out for tender.
These major projects will be required to meet sufficient green/eco/renewable governmental standards and adhere to ARENA [Australian Renewable Energy Agency] vison of “An Australian economy and society increasingly powered by competitive renewable energy.”
With the introduction of a new “Digital Solar” scheme, that will allow for landlords to install solar and on sell it to their tenants at a discounted rate.
This is a perfect opportunity for Tenants in Common [TIC] and Strata boards to put these large scale projects out for tender.
